Ingredients (serves 2):
1 medium cucumber, chopped
3 celery stalks
2 kiwis, peeled
2 green apples, chopped
2 large kale leaves, stems removed
1 lime, peeled
1/2 cup cold water (optional, for a lighter consistency)
Ice cubes, to serve
Method:
Prepare the ingredients: Wash all fruits and vegetables thoroughly. Chop the cucumber, celery and apples into pieces small enough to fit comfortably into the juicer chute. Peel the kiwis and lime.
Juice the ingredients: Turn on the juicer and begin feeding in the cucumber, celery, kiwi, apple, kale and lime gradually, alternating between softer and harder ingredients for smoother extraction.
Adjust consistency: Stir the juice well. Add cold water if you prefer a lighter, more refreshing texture.
Serve chilled: Pour into glasses over ice and serve immediately for the freshest flavour and maximum nutrients.
Tips & Variations:
Add a small piece of fresh ginger for extra warmth and zing.
Swap green apples for red apples if you prefer a sweeter flavour.
For a colder drink, chill all ingredients before juicing.
Try adding a handful of spinach or fresh mint for a fresh twist.
Any leftover juice can be stored in an airtight bottle in the fridge for up to 24 hours, though best enjoyed fresh.
