Banana Bread Latte

Sweet, creamy and packed with cosy banana bread flavour, this Banana Bread Latte is the perfect homemade coffee for slow mornings or an afternoon pick-me-up. Made with a rich homemade banana maple syrup and finished with fresh banana slices and cinnamon, it tastes just like your favourite bakery treat in a glass.
Made using the Haden Barista Espresso Machine, this recipe creates smooth, café-quality espresso for the ultimate banana latte at home.

Ingredients
Homemade Banana Syrup

2 ripe bananas, mashed

120g maple syrup

120ml water
-
1 tsp cinnamon
-
1 tsp vanilla extract

Pinch of salt
Banana Bread Latte

2 tbsp homemade banana syrup
-
2 shots espresso
-
180ml milk
-
Ice
-
Banana slices, to garnish
-
Ground cinnamon, to garnish
Instructions

In a small saucepan, combine the mashed bananas, maple syrup, water, cinnamon and a pinch of salt.

Simmer over medium heat for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the syrup has slightly thickened.

Remove from the heat, stir in the vanilla extract and allow to cool. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve to create a smooth banana syrup.

Add 2 tablespoons of the banana syrup to a serving glass.

Brew 2 shots of espresso using the Haden Barista Espresso Machine and pour over the syrup.

Fill the glass with ice, add the milk and stir until combined.

Garnish with fresh banana slices and a sprinkle of cinnamon before serving immediately.
