Apple Chai Latte

Warm, spiced and full of comforting autumn flavour, this Apple Crumble Chai Latte combines homemade caramelised apple compote with rich espresso and creamy chai-infused milk. Finished with cinnamon and soft apple pieces, it’s a café-style seasonal latte that’s easy to make at home.
Made using the Haden Barista Espresso Machine and Haden Air Fryer, this recipe creates perfectly brewed espresso and tender roasted apples for the ultimate cosy drink.

Ingredients
Apple Compote

1 medium apple, diced

1 tsp butter
-
1 tbsp maple syrup
-
½ tsp cinnamon
-
1 tbsp water
Chai Latte
-
2 shots espresso
-
150–180ml milk
-
1 tsp chai powder
-
Ground cinnamon, to finish
Instructions

Add the diced apple, butter, maple syrup, cinnamon and water to a small ovenproof dish.

Air fry at 180°C for 10–12 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the apples are soft and lightly caramelised.

Roughly mash the cooked apples with a fork, leaving a few small pieces for texture.

Spoon 1–2 tablespoons of the apple compote into the bottom of a serving glass.

Brew 2 shots of espresso using the Haden Barista Espresso Machine and pour directly over the apple compote.

Add the milk and chai powder to a milk jug, then froth until hot and creamy.

Slowly pour the frothy chai milk over the espresso mixture.

Finish with a dusting of cinnamon and a few spoonfuls of the remaining apple compote before serving warm.
