The Ultimate Iced Coffee

Get the ultimate summer refreshment with this easy-to-make iced coffee recipe. Rich yet refreshing, you can use your favourite coffee and serve it just as you like – black, with a dash of milk or even a swirl of indulgent cream for a real treat.

  • Prep time: 5 minutes
  • Cooling and serving time: around 1 hour – 1 hour 10 minutes

Serving:  1 x serving


  • 1 shot of espresso
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 50ml of milk
  • 2-3 tbsp single cream
  • ice cubes, to serve


Step 1: Pull a shot of espresso into a heatproof jug/cup and add the sugar. Mix well until the coffee and sugar have fully dissolved. Adjust the consistency with 100ml of water.

Step 2: Allow cooling to room temperature before transferring to the fridge to chill for 1 hr or until ready to serve.

Step 3: Fill a glass with ice and pour over the chilled coffee. Serve black if preferred, or for a milky, latte-style coffee, add 50ml milk and stir together. For a rich and creamy finish, omit the milk and swirl through 2-3 tbsp single cream instead.
