Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Melt Chocolate & Butter: Start by melting the chocolate chips and butter together in a microwave-safe bowl. Stir until smooth.

  2. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy. Gradually pour in the melted chocolate mixture, stirring continuously.

  3. Add Dry Ingredients: Sift in the flour and salt, folding gently until the batter is well combined.

  4. Prepare Ramekins: Grease small ramekins with butter or non-stick spray. Pour the batter evenly into the ramekins, filling about 3/4 full.

  5. Air Fry: Preheat your air fryer to 175°C. Place the ramekins in the air fryer basket and cook for 8-10 minutes. The edges should be firm, but the centre should remain soft.

  6. Serve: Once done, let the cakes cool for a minute before carefully inverting onto a plate. Serve warm, optionally dusted with powdered sugar or topped with vanilla ice cream.
