Crispy Air-Fried Burrata with Marinara

Crispy Air-Fried Burrata with Marinara

Crispy on the outside, irresistibly creamy in the middle, this air-fried burrata is a simple twist on a classic Italian favourite. Coated in seasoned breadcrumbs with smoked paprika and oregano, the burrata is air fried until golden and crisp, then served over warm marinara sauce.

Finished with Parmesan and fresh parsley, it makes an easy starter, sharing dish or indulgent addition to a relaxed dinner.

Serves

2 portions

Ingredients

  • 1 burrata
  • 100g breadcrumbs
  • 100g plain flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp dried oregano
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Warm marinara sauce, to serve
  • Parmesan, to serve
  • Fresh parsley, to garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with the smoked paprika, oregano, salt and black pepper.
  2. Carefully coat the burrata in the flour, then dip it into the beaten egg.
  3. Coat thoroughly in the seasoned breadcrumbs.
  4. Repeat the egg wash and breadcrumb coating once more to create a thicker, crispier crust.
  5. Place the coated burrata in the air fryer and cook at 170°C for 6–8 minutes, until golden and crisp.
  6. Spoon warm marinara sauce onto a serving plate and carefully place the crispy burrata on top.
  7. Finish with a sprinkle of Parmesan and fresh parsley, then serve immediately while warm.
